Privacy Policy
Effective: 27 April 2026
Velvet ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Projekt AI. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit velvet-marketing.pages.dev (or any related Velvet site), contact us, or book a walkthrough.
We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you contact us through a form, book a walkthrough, or email us, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number (if you provide it)
- Venue name and any details you share about your business
- Any messages or attachments you send
Information collected automatically
When you visit our sites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs standard request data:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring URL
We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act 1988) about you.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiries and arrange walkthroughs
- Demonstrate the Velvet platform to you
- Send follow-up information about Velvet where you have asked us to, or where it is reasonable to expect — you can opt out at any time
- Improve the website and our services
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or attacks on the service
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only with the service providers we use to run this website and to communicate with you. Currently those are:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and content delivery
- Resend, Inc. — transactional and follow-up email delivery
- Sanity.io — content management
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing, only if you become a paying customer (not used on the public marketing site)
These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations and only handle your data as needed to deliver their service.
We may also disclose your information where required by Australian law, by a court or tribunal, or to protect our rights or the rights of others.
4. Overseas storage
Some of our service providers (including Cloudflare and Resend) store and process data on servers outside Australia — typically in the United States and the European Union. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to:
- Remember your language preference
- Measure how the site is being used at an aggregate level (page views, broad navigation patterns)
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will continue to work, but some preferences may not be remembered.
6. Storage and security
Your information is stored in our service providers' systems, which use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and standard infrastructure security practices. Only Projekt AI staff who need to handle your enquiry can access it.
We retain enquiry information for as long as we are in active conversation with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you re-contact us. If you ask us to delete your information we will do so within 30 days, subject to any legal obligation we have to retain it.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you
- Provide a copy of that information
- Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date
- Delete your information, where we are not required by law to keep it
To make a request, email hello@projekt-ai.net. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
8. Direct marketing
Every direct marketing email we send contains an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to opt out.
9. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please email hello@projekt-ai.net first so we can try to resolve it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
- Website: oaic.gov.au
- Phone: 1300 363 992
- Post: GPO Box 5288, Sydney NSW 2001
10. Children
Velvet is a B2B service for licensed adult-industry venue operators. The website and the platform are not directed at, and not intended for use by, anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or notified to active customers by email.
